An Extreme Lack of Communication

Have you noticed that there has been a major increase in domestic abuse incidents? It seems that domestic violence has become quite an epidemic, even here in Washington County. This past weekend there was a double homicide as a result of a domestic conflict that happened in Washington. I think this surge in domestic violence has come around due to the fact that people have been increasingly losing their social and communication skills when it comes to face to face interactions. With so many people devoting so much time to watching TV, playing video games, and using so many social networking mediums, it's as if they're losing their grip on reality and their ability to work out conflicts one on one. I don't blame media or social networking for all of the violence in the world, but people should use these modern mediums in more moderation and try to socialize more in person and not through cell phones and Facebook.
