Wheelmap

I came across an article about a new iphone application that was recently launched. Raul Krauthausen, who is handicapped, launched wheelmap.org because he says sometimes he is treated like a child who is not allowed to choose specific things for himself. The iphone application and website allows users to share ratings and tips on how accessible shops, bars, and other places are. It turns out that Raul wasn't the only one feeling that way, with some 300 new user-ratings daily there is now details on 30,000 locations. Raul says that wheelmap.org is there to help show people with mobility impairments everything that is achievable. He attributes its success to being an iphone application.
